Since the first arrival in 1885 of The Sisters of the Little Company of Mary (LCM) we have built up a strong reputation for providing high quality values based care and support for those who are sick, dying and in need.

Significant day for the Mater
On Monday, 2 July, over 300 staff, volunteers and hospital supporters congregated in the newly built hospital to formally mark the end of an era of the hospital's name 'Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital', and to celebrate the new name and future of 'Calvary Mater Newcastle'.
